Creativity runs as a common thread throughout my life, from drawing mandalas, creating 3D objects and artist books, to drawing, painting, and working with mixed media. By attending various workshops, I have learned many techniques, which I have then developed in my own way. During my three-year training as an independent artist, I was able to further refine and expand my practice.<\/p>

The inspiration for my paintings partly arises from my subconscious. Throughout my life, I have dreamed of houses overgrown with ivy, where doors and windows cannot be closed, and which appear abandoned yet remain furnished, as if the inhabitants could return at any moment.<\/p>

During our tours through Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, I have been in various houses where the above applied. Sometimes tangible personal memories such as clothing, photos, and letters were spread throughout these houses like a visual history book.<\/p>

They silently told me the story of the history that took place there; they are surrounded by mystery for me. Often I had the feeling that a soul was still present, that feeling of \"I am not alone here...\"<\/p>

By using various techniques and layers in my work, the final result always holds surprises even for me. I often have the feeling that the painting \u201ccomes alive\u201d while I am creating it, perhaps the lingering soul is interfering with it\u2026<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Creativiteit loopt als een rode draad door mijn leven, van mandala tekenen, 3D-objecten en kunstenaarsboeken maken, tekenen, schilderen en met gemengde technieken werken.
